Take the rear lighting and functionality of your FJ Cruiser to the next level with the TEQ Customs Expedition Series 3rd Brake Light. Designed, tested, and engineered in-house by TEQ Customs, the Expedition Series combines powerful auxiliary lighting with a modular platform for cameras, communications equipment, and additional accessories.
The Expedition Series housing is designed to accommodate four KC Cyclone lights, with two positions intended for brake lights and two intended for reverse lights. When configured with KC lights, the setup provides increased rear lighting while maintaining a clean, integrated appearance designed specifically for the FJ Cruiser.
Its modular top plate allows camera and antenna mounts to be added, removed, or changed as your setup evolves.

KC Cyclone Light Configuration
The Expedition Series housing supports four KC Cyclone lights:
- (2) Brake Lights
- (2) Reverse Lights
Kits equipped with KC lights include two red and two white lenses as standard. KC offers additional replacement lens colors separately if you want to customize the lighting configuration.
KC Light Wiring
When purchasing a kit with KC lights, the necessary harnesses for the standard brake and reverse light configuration are included:
- (1) Harness to connect two KC Cyclone lights to the factory 3rd brake light connector
- (1) Harness to connect the two center KC Cyclone lights to the vehicle's reverse light circuit using insulated Posi-Tap connectors
The two reverse lights can alternatively be wired to an auxiliary switch for manual control. Wiring for a switch-controlled configuration is not included.
Modular Camera Mount Options
The Expedition Series 3rd Brake Light features a modular top plate designed to accommodate different rear camera configurations.
Standard Rear View Camera Mount
Designed for an 18.5mm rear view camera using a standard AV-style connection commonly compatible with aftermarket radio head units.
The standard camera mount may be purchased with or without the camera.
Wolfbox Rear Camera Mount
A dedicated Wolfbox camera mount is also available and is compatible with multiple styles of Wolfbox rear cameras.
Wolfbox camera is not included.
Camera mounts are modular and can be added, removed, or changed later if your vehicle setup changes.
Optional NMO Antenna Mount
An optional antenna mounting solution is available for the Midland Ghost Antenna and other lightweight antennas utilizing a New Motorola (NMO) mounting base.
The antenna mount can be installed on either side of the camera mount, providing a clean location for integrating communications equipment into your FJ Cruiser.
Important: Only lightweight antennas similar in size and weight to the Midland Ghost Antenna should be installed. Damage to the brake light housing caused by oversized or excessively heavy antennas is not covered.
Optional Midland GMRS Radio Bundle
For a more complete communications setup, the Midland MXT275VP4 15-Watt GMRS Two-Way Radio Bundle can be added.
The bundle includes:
- Midland MXT275 15-Watt GMRS Radio
- Midland Ghost Antenna
- Wiring
This provides a complete GMRS radio package ready to be integrated into your FJ Cruiser setup.

Camera, antenna, GMRS radio equipment, and other optional accessories are only included when the applicable option or bundle is selected.
