With a total length of 40 inches, the shovel features a 13-gauge heat-treated tempered steel head, powder-coated in Cardinal textured red—twice as thick as a standard residential shovel and reinforced with aggressive teeth to handle digging through ice, clay, roots, and rocky ground.
The black fiberglass handle is both lightweight and incredibly strong, with a solid 12" fiberglass core at the head connection to prevent breakage under pressure. A hollow compartment beneath the D-grip provides emergency storage for matches, fishing hooks, batteries, and more—ideal for survival situations.
The solid polymer D-grip won’t break down over time like rubber grips, and the glove-friendly tab lock pins make it easy to secure or remove attachments, even in cold or muddy conditions.
